This weekend Allie and her friend were playing the game of Life. Yes, the game is still around. Allie was all excited that she got a husband. Not being able to resist, I asked her since boys were 'gross' why she was happy about the husband.
"Well, I figure if I have a husband I can just stay home and do the stuff I enjoy all day. He can go to work and not annoy me".
Let me know how that works out for you, kid.
Lol, seriously needed this laugh on a Monday morning. Too cute and I am sure I thought like this back in the day, when I was a kid. But now sadly I know better!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh is this how it works?
ReplyDeletePhew! I sometimes agree with Allie, though!
ReplyDeleteShe will learn that a husband can annoy from anywhere. (As we can annoy them.)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with the other part, though. I mean, besides the diaper changing and appointments and cleaning and meal planning and disciplining and taxiing, I get to do whatever I want whenever I want. :)
Let her hang onto that thought for as long as possible. Maybe she'll be one of the lucky ones who modifies their view as they go along and finds that happy fit.
ReplyDeleteAh, the blissful ignorance of youth!
ReplyDeletelol Well at least she has a plan! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou must hide the reality pretty well from her!! :D
ReplyDeleteKids are so cute!!
Is she too young for me to send Lean In by Sheryl Sandburg to her? Or...has she figured out the sugar daddy thing? But yeah, sex w/ old icky men. Nope, she needs Sheryl Sandburg.
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm laughing my @ss off. LOVE this.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. That's exactly how it works! Oh to be a kid again!
